Dear Junior Kindergarten Parent/Guardian:
We are fortunate to be hosting a special program for our new JK students this summer, and are encouraging all of our new students to consider attending. The “Building Blocks for Kindergarten” program runs half days from July 6- 29th. Children attend Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day.
This amazing program will help your child to make a smooth transition to Kindergarten in the fall. The program will help children become familiar with the routines of school, as well as increase literacy skills while developing personal and social development skills. The program is hosted at W.J. Watson in one of our Kindergarten classrooms. The program is run by an experienced Kindergarten teacher, a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) and a senior counsellor. And it’s completely free!
If you are interested in your child attending this program, please complete the application package and return it to the school by next Wednesday, June 1st, 2016. You can also email the completed forms to firstname.lastname@example.org. Application packages are also available in the school office. Please note: we need at least twelve children registered to run the program. We currently have seven children interested and would love to have your child join the learning as well!
Should you have any questions at all, please contact the school office at 905-476-1618
