Save the Date! Grade 8 Graduation:
Wednesday, June 21st, 2017.
This year’s Graduation Ceremony will be held at Keswick High School on Wednesday, June 21st, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the gym. Following the graduation ceremony, there will be a reception for graduates and their families in the main foyer, and then a dinner and dance for students in the cafeteria. Organized by the Graduation Committee and Staff, the theme of the dance this year is “Tropical Hawaiian Luau.” The dance will end promptly at 10:30 p.m., and all students must be picked up, in person, by a parent or guardian.
This year, each student will be able to bring up to 8 guests to the Graduation Ceremony. Additional information about the Graduation Ceremony, Reception and Dance, including ordering tickets, will be sent home later this month.
We’re also looking for donations to support our evening. Specifically, we’re looking for:
- Coloured plastic tablecloths
- Grass skirts
- Flower Leis
- Anything Hawaiian-related

Our next Grade 8 Graduation Committee meeting with be taking place on Thursday, February 23rd at 10:40 a.m. (morning recess) in the library. The Graduation Committee includes several grade 8 student representatives, staff, administration and parents/guardians. We hold our meetings during the day to ensure our students (future graduates!) are able to fully participate. We appreciate that daytime meetings can be challenging for many families, but your input is still welcome and appreciated. To join the Committee, interested parents/guardians are asked to email Marika Sellers, School Council Representative, at firstname.lastname@example.org with your availability. Please also feel free to contact Melissa Murray, Vice-Principal, with any input or questions you have about graduation.
Last night we had our grade 8 graduation. What a wonderful evening!
Thank you to everyone who attended the ceremony at the Stephen Leacock Theatre. We shared quite a few smiles and laughs and perhaps even a few tears. It was a privilege to share the evening with all of you!
A special thank you to all our staff who organized and attended the evening. To the amazing parents who helped organize the graduation celebration at the school, including ordering food, creating New York City in our gym, and even designing little “goodie bags”, thank you! A special thank you to those parents who helped clean up today as well.
To all of our graduates, congratulations! We wish you all the best in the future. Please come back to visit!
